Once you are ready to put your website on the Internet for all to see, you will need
to register a
domain name (e.g. www.yourdomain.com) and choose a server to host your website online.
You will need to think up a domain name
that suits your website and hasn't already been registered by someone else. Can't think of a domain name? try:

If you don't mind your site visitors being bombarded with other people's advertising, you can sign up for free hosting with any one of a great number of services,
such as those listed at
www.absolutely-free-hosting.com but, frankly, this is not the answer for anyone who has gone to the trouble of building a decent website.
If you are able to afford it, and you think you might need it, you can have what is called a dedicated server, that is to say a server that hosts only your website,
but they don't come cheap and there is usually very little help given to
clients, so you may need to have gained some experience before going that route
or to hire someone to do it for you.
Of course, if you have a vast amount of traffic, you will find that
your web hosting gets more expensive but, by then, you should be able to afford
it! Let us assume, however, that for the time
being you are hoping to spend as little as possible and get the best quality services possible in return, while your fledgling website finds it's feet in the marketplace. Under those circumstances, and up until you become immensely popular, like us you'll
probably find that you are best off with a shared hosting service.
