Nelson - The Hero... And The Lover by Harry Edgington - ISBN 0600201449
This 1981, 1st edition paperback, published by Hamlyn Paperbacks, is
only a novel by dint of being concerned with Nelsons' emotions and
personality but, in all other respects adheres to historical fact. An
excellent book, shedding, as it does, an informed light on
Nelson's inner life.
Unfortunately, although some of Harry Edgington's
books are available through Amazon, this one doesn't feature on the list
at the moment...

Nelson's Love by Lozania Prole - ISBN 0709161158
Published in 1977 by Robert Hale of London, this is a romantic novel
based on the facts of Nelson's affair with Emma Hamilton .
Nelson's Love is one of
Lozania Prole's many romantic historical novels and she has, as always,
injected life into the characters and into what is still one of the
great love stories of all time.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne
Our 1946 hardback copy, published by the World Publishing Company,
USA, as part of the World Famous Classics series, is still a favourite
aboard.
Illustrated with excellent drawings by Kurt Wiese and introduced by May
Lamberton Becker, this story was written in 1870 by a man so far ahead
of his time that he took the existence of submarines for granted. Jules
Verne wrote two books each year after the first few, and all are
classics today. Captain Nemo, the freedom-fighting sailor was the man
Jules Verne would have like to be.
As children we were both spellbound
by Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, as adults hardly less so!

If every reader tells us about just one book (the more the
merrier) all our readers will get to hear about books they
might not otherwise have known existed and had the chance to enjoy - why
not drop us a line, with at least the book's title, name of the author
and ISBN details, and preferably with your description of the reason you
feel the book is worthy of inclusion in the library... Don't wait to see if anyone else bothers - they may be
waiting to see if you do!
