http://www.lagoonviewyachtclub.org/ is the URL or website address
of the Lagoon View Yacht Club in Waretown, New Jersey USA and the
award-winning website is in the capable hands of William T Morgen, better
known as 'Bill', a founder-member of the club and the first Vice Commodore
(jointly with his wife, Rita, naturally, because there's nothing
chauvinistic about LVYC). As the page opens, rousing music greets the ears
(if you are one of those people who cannot listen and read at the same
time, you will find a slim silver bar directly in front of you, just below
the heading, that will allow you to pause the music) and there is plenty
to read right from the first page onwards.
A 21st century armchair sailor must be in heaven with a
website like this to delve into and it is an excellent resource for
sailors with the seat of their pants steeped in salt water, too! The club
will be 20 years old next year and was formed by a group of people who
didn't actually possess a yacht between them, although they did have boats
of lengths ranging from 6 to 10 metres and a yen to keep things informal.
By 1992, the properly articled Yacht Club had become too formal for the
original Commodore and Bill shot to fame, if not fortune, as the club's
interim Commodore. The rest of the story you will have to find out for
yourself by having a look around the
Lagoon View
Yacht Club's excellent website!
Here is a website that attempts to list the yacht clubs of the world http://www.nautisk.com/eng/links/yacht-clubs.htm
and here is another:
http://www.sailing.org/default.asp?ID=j/,Fs/j7&MenuID=dk/`Gbk4971qOqF?JTv8x?z
and another:
http://www.seafarers.com/
and one more that specifically lists yacht
clubs with websites:

Enjoy!
