In this section we will be featuring those who make their mark on this century.  In the first issue we covered the entire Millennium Round The World Race, seeing the new millennium in with 'Spirit of Minerva', the boat we had 'adopted' as the one to follow, and the other three yachts, battling for points as the miles flew by. 'Minerva' triumphed and for us it was like an omen for MarineZine, silly superstitious sailors that we are.

It is our pleasure, in this issue, to present a The La Borde Family who sailed into the history books of their country in the millennium to which we have just waved goodbye...Trinidad's first circumnavigators didn't just sail round the world. First they built the boat to sail in. meeting The La Borde Familywas a pleasure for us and we hope it will be for you too.
