Are you a car owner? What do you drive and why? What would you drive if you could have the car of your
choice?
Are you the proud owner (or manufacturer) of a latest model anything? Want to write a review on it for this
page?
Go for it, and don't worry if you're not the world's best hack, we can sort it out if the content is worthy of the
effort!
Anything to do with road transportation can be included in this section. If you've got details of a brilliant boat
transporter, we are all ears. If you've got a funny story or even a tragic one about boat transport by
road, send it in.
If you're a motor racing fan and you want to try and infect us with your enthusiasm for the sport, we're willing to hear you out, too and that goes for motorcycle enthusiasts and cyclists too.
Tell us about taxis and taxi-rides too.
Public transport is included on the Just The Ticket page.
We don't want anyone to feel left out. Except perhaps the traffic wardens...only
kidding! Even a traffic warden has to get around...probably heavily
disguised...Did I say that?
In
the Grenadines, in the southern Caribbean, visiting cruisers can enjoy
many different islands with only a few hours sailing between them. In
Bequia, largest of the islands in the group, the taxis tend to be
open-backed four-wheel drive vehicles with seats down each side, often
bearing vinyl-covered cushions and quite comfortable to travel in. The
taxis have interesting names and tend to be the pride and joy of their
owner/drivers.
In the photograph is Julian Olivierre with his 'Eagle
Taxi', a typical example, on the seafront in Port Elizabeth, Bequia.
