WELCOME TEENS TO THE TEEN SCENE!
Are you too old for Youngsters?,
too young to join the dull old adults?
This is the section for you, then!
Teen Scene Editor: Stephanie Walker of 'Metani'
These are the pages where teens, and anyone else below the age of 300, are free to roam.
Here we can give each other updates on all sorts of things. We can ask each other questions, offer each other answers...My name is Stephanie, my friends call me Steph and you can, too.
Don't worry if you think you're not a good writer, I will edit anything that needs it.
Hope you enjoy the stuff enfolded in these pages. Hope you add to it too! This can be really great if everybody joins in, we can get a network of friends going across the planet, on land and at sea.
Here's what we've thought up so far:
Beachcombers: Anyone collect anything?
On this page we can tell each other all about our collections.
Phone cards, stickers and Beanie Babies are amongst my collections, I'm a total enthusiast! Wonder who collects the strangest things... Wonder what's the most popular thing to collect... tell us all about yours!
Boy Talk: girls, this is for you. Got questions, stories or anything else about boys? This is the page you want then.
First Mate: Fellas this is your show. This page is your stage. Here you can talk about anything guys talk about.
It's only for you. Don't forget to add your own tid-bits. I'll need help. Just write about any topic you want. Like the latest video games, for example, which one do you like best? Do you live on land or aboard a boat? Tell us about your self, your life, what you like and what you don't. Got any advice to share or burning questions? Don't think you can write
well enough? Try it, you'll be
surprised!
Glam and Sham: You ever go out somewhere, or travel to somewhere new and discover that your stuff (which was fashionable in the last place) is totally out of style? Well here's where we can keep each other wised up about what's in fashion and what makeup goes with it. If we're kept informed about anything really great coming out, we could be ahead of the fashion game, for a change!
Home Ground: What's Australia really like? Do
kangaroos really jump down the main street? Are all the girls called Sheila?
What's it like to live in South Africa these days? Does everyone get along, at last?
Is it really too cold for comfort in Canada? Is America really all fast food and false friends?
Is Europe all the same, now that the Euro has come in?
Tell us all about your country, give us the low-down! What's great and what's awful about where you live?
Learning Curves: Ever wonder what it's like to do your schooling on the Internet? Are you doing just that? Well, we'd love to hear all about it. Do you study by correspondence? Are you at a
'proper' school? Some of us feel we miss out on all the fun of being in a 'proper' school. Distance learning can get lonely. Maybe school has its disadvantages too? Tell us all about how you're getting your education. Boring subject? Only if you see it that way! Let's face it, we've got to study anyway, might as well take an interest in the process! Can't think what to say?Well, you'll never know if you never have a go!
1 - on - 1: the pen-pals page,
tell the world about yourself. If you read about someone you'd like to write to,
go ahead. Make friends with somebody today! Send us your details and see who writes to you. I will for a start! See whose details sound interesting to you and e-mail them straight away, to say hello and maybe start a lifelong friendship. If you find you don't have much to say to each other, it's OK. It's still nice to say hello!
Just remember that this page is about simple friendship across the world,
between young people aged up to nineteen only, nothing else.
Shop to Drop: Anyone heard the latest CD or played the latest game? On this page we will tell you everything we hear about what's new, what's cool, where you can find it. Help us stay ahead of the crowd, write in with all your shopping news. If you know what's due to come into the shops next, we can really stay ahead! Whether it's Nintendo or 5IVE, tell us the latest!
Y2K+ Teens: a look at the future, our future, rising talent, and any other subject that may interest
you.
THE MOVIES
Seen any movies lately? Did you form any
definite opinion of them? Would you recommend any of the films you've seen in
the past year? What did you think of the storyline, the effects, the actors? Why not write those thoughts down and
e-mail them to us?
