The
TypingMaster Games interface is fullscreen and almost non-resizeable.
Designed to attract clients to the company's commercial products, the
object is presumably to demonstrate that your typing could be improved
even further with their help.
Playing these games might give some of us pause for
thought but it doubtless also helps to improve one's typing skills
directly, in the process. It is fun, anyway, and that is what this
collection is
all about!
Wordtris:
Beams, with words on them, glide downwards and the typist must type the
word on the beam and press the Space bar before each beam reaches the
bottom of the box. When the box is full of missed beams, the game is
over.
Bubbles
Game: bubbles bearing individual upper and lowercase characters float
upwards and the typist must type the letters to
pop the bubbles. Red and blue bubbles are faster and score higher than
the others but if you miss any six bubbles, the game is over.
Clouds
scud by, from right to left, some with words under them and some
without. Each time the typist manages to type the word and press enter
before the cloud has disappeared, points are gained, with sunny clouds
carrying the highest points.
Enter and the Space bar both move the typist forward
into the oncoming clouds, to seek out those with words on them. The
words are not always there when the clouds start their journey, though
and backspacing allows the typist to return to a cloud mistaken for an
empty one. The storm clouds are the ones to watch out for. Miss six of
those and the game is over.
