BARRY'S MATHS WOKOUT

Barry's Maths Workout for Children was built using Visual Basic 6. It will only operate when your computer has vb6 runtime files installed, which it probably has but, if it hasn't, you may see an error window stating "No msvb6 files found" or something of that nature. You can find vb6 runtime files through any search engine if you need them. Just search for vb6 runtime - you may also find them packaged with other programs. You will only need to install them once.

Barry made this small program for his little girl who, apparently, enjoys getting them right! There are no help files because Barry wanted to keep the file size down. However, when the program is running, look out for the message bar at the bottom of the form - if you hover your mouse over the surface of the form, you will find hidden buttons. Well, we persuaded a volunteer to have a go and this is how it went: (Click on the thumbnails to see the bigger pictures...)

Putting in a wrong answerHaving answered the first question correctly, Buggsy deliberately entered a wrong answer, to see what would happen...

Another chanceThe wrong answer disappeared and an opportunity to try again was offered...

When the right answer was entered, "Well done, have another go?" came up.

Against the clockBuggsy decided to have a go at answering ten questions with the clock running... (without the calculator, naturally!)
