Unlike the Microsoft Accessibility Magnifier feature, Magnify can be configured and will stay on top, if you so wish, allowing continued work on all parts of the document in focus, since, wherever the cursor goes, that area will immediately appear in Magnify.
On the other hand, you can have Magnify fixed on one spot, if you
prefer. You can even ask magnifier to include a cursor or switch it off
when it would not be helpful, for example when reading text.
Getting a snapshot of the Magnify
interface was not easy, but here it is!
Using the Continuous Update facility, you can see what you are typing. You choose the extent of magnification to suit yourself. Magnify saves the settings you have given it on exit so that, next time you use it, Magnify will appear exactly as you left it last time. You can switch off Magnify's title bar too, so that it does not distract you while you are working with this excellent application.
You will find, by experimenting with the settings, that there is quite a lot you can do to customize Magnify to your needs.
