Using
an application, such as word processing software, that centers on the
keyboard can be frustrating if you do not have a brilliant memory for
keyboard shortcuts and have to change hands between keyboard and mouse often,
in spite of preferring to use the keyboard. ACCESS was designed for such
eventualities. It shows you all the application-specific shortcuts (also called accelerators) and user
defined keystroke combinations for the program you are using at the time
and allows you to change them too!
The shortcut database can be modified on the fly. ACCESS
sits in background, monitors which application you are currently using and
floats on top with the appropriate shortcut list. For keyboard power-users
and/or mouse-haters, this can result in a surprising improvement in
temper...
Excuse
the date in Portuguese in the screenshot above - it isn't the application,
it's our computer's clock/calendar - it sulks when we suggest it learns to
tell the time in English... at least it proves that you can use this
application in whatever language your computer is willing to speak...
