BOATOWNER'S MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL MANUAL
by Nigel Calder

We had this book on board for quite some time before we actually got into it, mainly because we didn't think we'd be able to understand the contents, if you really want to know!

Eventually, we got the courage up to read bits to each other and, to our amazement, we actually grasped some of the first concepts we tackled. Since then, we've dipped in on many occasions, to our benefit.

The excellent Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual by Nigel Calder was featured in the MarineZine'sbookshelves section and reader Matt Tapwell wrote in to add:

"It must be confessed that I have collected quite a few books on the subject over the years, hoping for a sudden breakthrough in my hopelessly un-technical mind. I'm still not the world's most inspired mechanic or electrician but Nigel Calder's manual seems to be the one I reach for every time, these days.

Not only have I been able to solve some of the boat's problems but I have also been able to prevent some situations from arising at all, thanks to the excellent advice that is imparted on the pages of this excellent book."
