| Total beginners (or 'newbies' as they are called) can get help and advice geared at their own level of knowledge (as in none or not a lot) at lots of places on the Internet. We have often found useful stuff at 'newbie' sites in spite of being around the web ourselves for quite a while - there is just so much to know that you can never know it all! | |
| New to Windows XP but not to much else in the world? In fact, feeling old but being new to computing altogether and wondering if you'll ever get to grips with it all? Pop over and read some little how-to articles from the ElderGeek and you'll soon be at home with the basics... | |
| New to webmastering? You might try the Webmaster Newbie Hangout...
Also, check out Your Website
here at LWA | |
| If you are toying with the idea of installing the Linux operating system on your computer or you already have, you may find this site useful: Elsewhere there's a newbie Linux Administrator's Guide | |
| If yours is a Mac then you may find some useful resources here... | |
| Perhaps you fancy having a go at programming? You'll want to visit the Code Newbie's site! | |
|
You are invited to add to this shared store of good places to go by e-mailing us at computer_wiz@linnetwoods.com
- we will be happy to review any site but retain the right to decide whether
to add a link to it on these pages or not. | |
